Drew McIntyre’s been away from our pro wrestling programming since dropping an unsanctioned match to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April. Since then, he’s been busy with his burgeoning acting career. That’s included shooting the Highlander reboot
with Henry Cavill, Dave Bautista and Russell Crowe, and The Last Druid, also with Crowe, in Europe. At some point, it either has or will still involve working in one of the “microdramas” WWE will be producing.The last rumor we had about McIntyre’s WWE
return came about a month ago, and saidthere wasn’t any creative ready for Drew’s return. But today (Sept. 25), Big D posted a video of himself in the ring at Rusev’s school in Nashville.
Seems like something someone getting close to coming back would post, no?
The “maybe” mentioned above with regard to second champ’s return would be Seth Freakin’ Rollins. We already know he can wrestle. While he hasn’t been on our screens since his SummerSlam loss to Roman Reigns, Rollins worked the South American tour earlier this month. We just heard that while it may be delayed, his return is expected soon. And with Raw in Milwaukee this upcoming Monday, Seth announcing he’ll be back on Good Morning Football from Chicago — a 90 minute drive away — doesn’t say he won’t be on the red brand’s next episode.
Enough supposition from me though. Do you think WWE will be getting some former champs back for Money in the Bank and/or Survivor Series?
