There are four games today. I’m not going to watch them all, but I’ll likely look in at most of them.
We have:
- 1:00 Eastern: Tigers @ Guardians. Tarik Skubal (13-6, 2.21) vs. Gavin Williams (12-5, 3.06).
- 3:00 Eastern: Padres @ Cubs. Nick Pivetta (13-5, 2.87) vs. Matthew Boyd (14-8, 3.21). Nice to see a former Jays’ prospect doing well.
- 6:00 Eastern: Red Sox @ Yankees. Garrett Crochet (18-5, 2.59) vs. Max Fried (19-5, 2.86). I’m cheering for extra innings. Many extra innings.
- 8:00 Eastern: Reds @ Dodgers. Hunter Green (7-4, 2.76) vs. Blake Snell (5-4, 2.35).
If you are in Toronto and want to watch the Jays play some intrasquad games, Wednesday and Thursday,
they are playing at Rogers Centre at 4:00. The games will be four or five innings, and will have players from the Blue Jays and the Bisons. They are charging $10 at the door. Likely more than that for a beer. The money goes to the Jays Care Foundation.
Hazel Mae tells us that 2.38 million Canadians watched Sunday’s Jays game, a regular season record. 5.8 million tuned in at some point.
