What is the story about?

The Los Angeles Chargers are facing off against the Kansas City Chiefss in Week 6 at Arrowhead Stadium hoping to secure their first win of the season.

The Chargers have lost their first five games and have been arguably the more disappointing teams in the league. However, the Chargers can turn things around with a win against the undefeated Chiefs. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chargers are an underdog by 7.5 points. Let’s take a look at some predictions for the game.

Over/Under: 41.5

Only one of the five games so far

this season has seen a Chargers game score more than 41.5 points. That came in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, but against an offense like the Chiefs, which has the potential to break out on any given Sunday, this number could hit. That said, based on how the Chargers’ offense has performed and the Chiefs’ desire to make it more of a defensive game, I like the under in this one.

Prediction: Under

Chargers +7.5

FanDuel is giving the Chargers 7.5 points to start the game. The Chargers lost by more than a score in each of their first two weeks, but have kept things close in the last three. Their 23-17 loss against the Denver Broncos in Week 5 was the closest margin in a game this season. That being said, playing on the road against the Chiefs is an incredibly daunting task, especially for a team that is dealing with as many injuries as Los Angeles is. The line is fair, and I believe the Chargers will still have a tough time beating the spread.

Prediction: Chiefs -7.5

Final Score

The Chargers are massive underdogs here for good reason. They are one of the three winless teams in the league, going up against one of the three undefeated teams. They also have to do this on the road while Kansas City is coming off a bye week. The Chiefs are coming in well rested, which should play to their advantage.

Chiefs 28, Chargers 13
