Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry has rarely met a roster move that he did not consider seriously and/or make. Berry is known for “churning” the bottom of the 53-man roster and the practice squad. Monday afternoon, we covered a report that the Browns flip-flopped two roster moves they had made last week at the cornerback position on the practice squad.
On Tuesday, those two moves were among five that became official ahead of the team’s Thursday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers:

- CB Myles Bryant, as reported Monday night
- TE John FitzPatrick
Browns released 2 from their practice squad
- CB D’Angelo Ross, as reported Monday night
- TE Messiah Swinson
Cleveland also released veteran OL Kendrick Green from the injured reserve list, freeing him to sign with a team when he’s healthy enough to pass a physical.

Bryant (5-9, 192) is in his seventh NFL season out of Washington. Originally signed by New England as an undrafted free agent in 2020, he has appeared in 77 career games with the Patriots (2020-23) and the Texans (2024-25). He has recorded 173 career tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and 17 passes defensed. He spent time on the Browns’ practice squad earlier this season. Bryant will wear No. 27.
FitzPatrick (6-7, 262) is in his fifth NFL season out of Georgia. Originally drafted by Atlanta in the sixth round in 2022, FitzPatrick has appeared in 33 career games with the Falcons (2022-23) and Packers (2024-25).
Ross was elevated from the practice squad in Week 1 this season. Swinson has not played in an NFL regular-season game after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. Green, a third-round pick of the Steelers in 2021, played one game for the Browns in 2025 and has 37 career appearances in four seasons in the NFL.
