3 games, 9 points.
It’s not the perfect start, as the team has not put excellent performances, but we are having good results, while Alonso continues to implement his ideas. 3 games, 3 wins, 100% so far.
Alonso commented on what we did better and worse today in comparison to previous games:
I think the game today had different phases. We did not start so good, but it was a good reaction. Today we haven’t been good in the pressing in the opponent’s half, so Mallorca could make transitions. We have to do a little better than we did today, but until today we were doing quite well. Today, our conter-pressing was not so good. So, we will focus to fix it. But we have attacked better than against Osasuna. I think we created more chances, especially in first half after 20 minutes we created a lot of chances against a low-block, a very deep 5-3-2. Joseph and Muriki were out of position and we were able to attack better.
The next game is against Real Sociedad (away) on September 13th. It’s international break time. It’s interesting that “only” 13 Real Madrid players were called-up.
