- Brent Stecker argues that it’s time the Mariners re-shuffled their batting order.
- The M’s have reportedly agreed to a minor league deal with right-hander Nick Anderson, who was recently let go by the Rockies.
Around the league…
- The Mets shut down Jesse Winker, likely for the remainder of the season, due to back inflammation. He made just 81 plate appearances for the team this year.
- Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel, Jr. was diagnosed with a torn right ACL, likely taking him out for much of 2026.
- D-Backs right-hander Shelby Miller is undergoing testing after feeling a “pop” in his throwing elbow. The 34-year-old re-joined the squad this summer in a deal with the Brewers.
- Former Mariner and current Rangers farmhand José Corniell was promoted to Triple-A. Corniell was part of the 2020 deal that landed the Mariners Rafael Montero.
