It’s election season in Barcelona which means the presidential candidates are trying their best to say all the right things to impress the electorate and the club’s fans.
Victor Font is going up against Joan Laporta again and has already been critical of the Barcelona president on several occasions in recent years.
He’s now been talking again about what he has to offer, claiming that Hansi Flick will love what he hears from his campaign.
“We will explain our sporting project in the coming days,” he said,
per Mundo Deportivo.
“Flick is asking for stability, and if he already likes what he has now, he’ll be blown away by what we’re going to present to him.”
“Stability means not improvising. Not having to give away Iñigo Martínez to reduce salaries too much and, a few months later, sign Cancelo.”
It’s not the first strong line that Font has trotted out recently. He also claimed recently that he’d keep Flick on if he is elected president but will ditch Deco as sporting director.
