The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially know the road ahead in 2026, and at first glance, it feels like a schedule built for another playoff push — if they can survive the gauntlet in the middle. Tampa Bay opens the season on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals before returning home for back-to-back games against Cleveland, Minnesota, and Green Bay. Early momentum will be critical.
The primetime spotlight arrives quickly with a Thursday night showdown in Dallas in Week 5 and a Sunday night clash in Chicago
just before the bye. The Bucs also draw difficult late-season tests against Detroit, Baltimore, and both the LosAngeles Chargers and Rams. Never an easy task in the latter part of the year.
Still, there’s plenty for fans to be excited about. Baker Mayfield has revitalized the franchise, the NFC South remains winnable, and Tampa Bay gets key divisional games late in the season when experience matters most. On paper, this could be a team that looks capable of double-digit wins — but consistency and health will determine whether the Buccaneers are true contenders or just another playoff hopeful that falls short due to poor late-season coaching.
