Raw airs tonight (Sept. 28) with a live show emanating from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is the ninth episode of Raw during the ten week build to Money in the Bank, which takes place on October 10.
Roman Reigns’ part-time schedule is putting LA Knight in a very tough spot
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns’ part-time WWE schedule shows that his title defense against Penta in Mexico on Sept. 14 was his final Raw date for the month; he’ll be back on next week’s (Oct. 5) go home show for Money in the Bank.
Roman’s two week absence puts his MITB challenger
LA Knight in a tough spot tonight trying to build up excitement for their match. Raw GM Adam Pearce says LA has something to get off his chest regarding the Tribal Chief, but didn’t he already accomplish that last week in his solo promo that showed vulnerability and got mixed reviews?
It sounds like the megastar is tasked with cutting another promo without his dance partner in the building tonight, even though nothing new has happened between him and Roman since last week’s segment. Mic work is LA’s biggest strength, of course, but it’s hard to get too excited to hear what else LA has to say without first hearing Roman’s response to what Knight already said last week.
In order to make sure this segment isn’t a complete rehash of last week, I imagine someone will interrupt LA this time, setting up a match for later in the show where the megastar goes over. Knight may even get dragged more directly into The 946’s kidnapping angle with Solo Sikoa, even though LA has been trying to steer clear of it so he can be completely focused on his world title match with Reigns at Money in the Bank.

The rest of the card
Triple H wants Dragon Lee around for the long-term in WWE. Does that mean Lee actually has a chance to beat Big Cass when they fight each other in a singles match tonight? Or is this a case where Cass rebounds from his recent loss by destroying “the future of Lucha Libre” with his Big Boot?
The only other match announced for Raw tonight is Lola Vice vs. Roxanne Perez, in a battle of two young stars who recently qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match. This is Lola’s first one-on-one match since being called up to the main roster. Does fellow babyface MITB participant Sol Ruca plan to be there at ringside just in case Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez tries to help her Judgment Day stablemate beat Vice?
The Bloodline will address what happened last week when Royce Keys’ and his men kidnapped Solo Sikoa. But will The 946 decide to ambush The Usos and/or Jacob Fatu before they can say a word, kidnapping one of them in the process?
WWE says Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will address her next challenger for the title. Didn’t she already do this last week when she said Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan are both getting a title shot? Will a 3-way match be made official for Money in the Bank, or are they each getting separate title matches against La Primera?
Finally, Oba Femi has a message to send to The Vision tonight. Does that message include joining forces with Je’Von Evans to take the world tag team championship away from Austin Theory and Bron Breakker? Will Bronson Reed squash someone with a Tsunami splash before Raw goes off the air? Why is Paul Heyman so obsessed with stopping Oba’s ability to breathe?

– Will WWE acknowledge the shocking death of AEW star PAC aka former NXT Champion Adrian Neville?
– Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable says Ethan Page needs to earn a shot at his belt. What will “All Ego” do to ensure Gable has to give him what he wants?
– Penta called Dominik Mysterio the King of the Assholes last week before pinning him to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Will the Judgment Day double down on their efforts to take out Penta tonight? If so, I bet JD McDonagh’s giant head is earmarked for a Mexican Destroyer.
– Bayley returned to action last week and actually lost against Lyra Valkyria. Will Bayley demand one more match against Lyra and somehow up the ante this time?
– Do Maxxine Dupri and Austin Theory plan to get people talking with another suggestive viral video that goes even further than last week’s?
– What’s next for IYO SKY after she failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match?
