2026 linebacker Daylen Green flips from Arkansas to Florida State

After picking up a commitment on the defensive line from Chris Carbin yesterday, Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles added a local playmaker to #Tribe26 today, as linebacker Daylen Green completed

the commitment flip from the Arkansas Razorbacks to FSU.

Green is a 6-foot-1, 210-pounder who plays linebacker and safety for Gadsden County. 247Sports Composite considers him the 960th best player in the nation (75th best LB, 104th best player in Florida). He holds over two dozen offers. FSU is recruiting him as a linebacker with plus athleticism.

FSU was trending heavily for Green over the summer. Green named the ‘Noles as his favorite school in June prior to taking an official visit to Fayetteville, where the Hogs pulled off a surprise in earning his verbal commitment. Former Arkansas defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson (yeah, that Marcus Woodson) offered Green as a safety/nickel hybrid. Since that time, the Razorbacks have initiated a coaching change and Green has reevaluated his plans, resulting in good news for Florida State despite its own uncertainty of late.

With three other linebackers in the mix, I like this addition for the Seminoles. Green’s athleticism is above average for a linebacker and he might be able to crosstrain at the Rover spot. Maxpreps doesn’t show any stats for this season but last season, Green racked up 111 tackles (four TFL) in 11 games.
