Football Dots
- The big news yesterday was the signing of receiver Zerek Sidney out of Desert Edge high school in Arizona. The 6 foot, 180 pound looks to be in the mold of a Dezmen Roebuck, so we’ll see if Sidney can make a similar impact. Our own Aaron Sieverkropp has more here.

Retro Dot
- I’m starting a new series called the Retro Game of the Week, after I posted the YouTube archive of the 1985 Orange Bowl. You all seemed to enjoy that, so today, I have one that’s near and dear to me and me only, probably. In 2005, the Huskies went 2-9 under Tyrone Willingham in his first year as head coach. This was win number one, and the first Husky win I personally can remember. This was against an Idaho team that was led by Nick Holt, the future UW DC under Sark. These Vandals also went 2-9 in a year that included a loss to rival WSU and a 70-35 beating by Boise State. Husky standouts included Louis Rankin, Isaiah Stanback and Craig Chambers on offense and Manase Hopoi and CJ Wallace on defense.
