Bayern Munich has developed a reputation for being shrewd negotiators and incredibly hesitant to give in to ridiculous transfer fees. That said, the club at least knows areas in the team that require reinforcement, but they will be sure to take the right steps to ensure that it’s done correctly.
According to a report from Sky Sports Germany journo Florian Plettenberg (as captured by German X account @iMiaSanMia_GER), Bayern will take a wait-and-see approach to transfers as the market won’t pick up
until later due to the World Cup. The Bavarians don’t necessarily need to make any transfers right away but will make a handful of signings this summer. There is a particular need for fullbacks.
The club is also not prone to signing duds and after recent transfers, their aim is to set the record straight. So far, players like Givairo Read and Kennet Eichhorn are still on the radar, so it remains to be seen if those two end up at Bayern or somewhere else come the 2026/27 season.
