The trenches get stronger, as former Cyclone Vaea Ikakoula (pronounced Vi-Uh E-kuh-cola) committed to the Nittany Lions.
Ikakoula
originally chose the Cyclones over several Pac-12 and Big-12 schools, including Arizona State, Colorado, and Stanford. The Haiwaiian-born guard who played his high school ball in Salt Lake City played in four games to preserve his redshirt in 2025. At 6’3”, 355, he certainly has the heft to be a considerable force in both the running game and the passing game. Ikakoula will, of course, reunite with his offensive line coach Ryan Clanton, who joined the Nittany Lions staff after Matt Campbell was hired.
