With the 2026 NBA Draft coming up and prospects showing off on a near weakly basis, a recent poll conducted by SB Nation for its NBA readers asked two simple questions: Which current NCAA player will be the most exciting to watch in the NBA? Would you rather use a non-lottery pick on a four-year college player or a one-and-done prospect?
Per the poll that aimed to answer the first question above, SB Nation readers seem to think that AJ Dybantsa of the BYU Cougars will be the most exciting prospect
out of the 2026 class.
In turn, the answer to the second question — choosing whether to use a non-lottery pick on a four-year college player or a one-and-done prospect — was an overwhelming win for the former.
This class is shaping up to be perhaps the most talented in history. Dybantsa, Duke’s Cameron Boozer, and Kansas’ Darren Peterson are all worthy of being selected as the first pick in the upcoming draft, which may have something to do with the fact that multiple teams in the bottom of the standings are not-so-subtly tanking.
Which prospect do you think will be selected first overall, and which team will each prospect land on? Head on over to https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/navigation/nba to test your confidence.
