We’re down to the final eight teams in the World Cup, a group that you might say is pretty “elite” among those “eight.” [brb calling my lawyers]. Earlier this past month near the beginning of the tournament we asked you to take a sponsored survey about your feelings regarding the World Cup and who you think will win it.
Since that poll, almost all of the favorites have progressed to the final eight, but it’s still time to revisit the question. After watching these teams for a month, you probably now
have more informed opinions about the ones who remain. So you can choose to revise your previous pick, or stick with chalk. It’s totally up to you!
Also in this poll is a question about who will win the World Cup Golden Ball. The Golden Ball is NOT the Golden Boot — the latter is for the player who scores the most goals, while the Golden Ball is for the overall BEST player in the tournament. Could they be the same person? You bet. But it’s not guaranteed, and honestly we already know Lionel Messi is winning the Golden Boot, so why not focus on something different?
