Still recovering from the fallout of their sluggish loss to the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys continue their practice preparations for the Washington Commanders. A part of the team’s challenges come from injuries.
The Cowboys reshuffled their running back room this week following Malik Davis’ injury last week. Dallas added running back Tyler Goodson to the active roster and is signing Israel Abanikanda to their practice squad.
As for who was on the field today at practice, here is today’s injury report.
DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) did not practice today in team activities but was seen working with the trainers. Malik Hooker (forearm) also did not practice.
James Houston (shoulder) was upgraded from a limited capacity to a full participant. Meanwhile, Ajani Cornelius (knee) was also a full participant today.
For the Commanders, Frankie Luvu (groin) and Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) did not practice. That is the second straight day that they have been withheld from practice this week. Joining them with a DNP, was Javon Kinlaw who is now ailing with a back injury.
Among those limited, Dorance Armstrong (knee), Odafe Owen (calf), and Daron Payne (knee) were all less than full strength, the same status as yesterday.
