If you are a fan who is not interested in the upcoming NFL draft until the Cleveland Browns are eliminated from playoff contention, this three-round Browns mock draft will not be for you. Hopefully the rest of DBN can serve your needs properly.
For many, including this writer, the NFL draft is one piece of the whole enchilada that is following our Cleveland football team. If the Browns were undefeated, many of us would still take a quick glance at the upcoming draft, wondering what else they could
add to the team. With the tough loss in Week 8 to the Pittsburgh Steelers and having an extra first-round pick, today we take a little bit longer than a glance at the future.
Using Pro Football Network’s Mock Draft Simulator, Cleveland adds four prospects at positions of value. Full disclosure, my draft analysis in detail doesn’t really start until the college football season is over; today’s mock is a reflection of where PFN has players ranked and my assessment of the team’s needs. The draft order is based on the current standings in the NFL:
3-Round Browns Mock Draft
First Round
- DE Yhonzae Pierre, Alabama
Cleveland’s pass rush needs more, and Pierre can be a big part of that. After eight sacks last season, the third-year player has 3.5 this year to go along with three passes defended, one forced fumble, one INT, and one defensive touchdown. With no quarterbacks available at pick 16, filling the Browns biggest need made the most sense.
- TE Jamari Johnson, Oregon
The next athlete coming from Oregon, Kenyon Sadiq’s backup last year, Johnson is on his way to surpassing his reception, yardage, and touchdown totals easily this season. At 6’5”, Johnson will give HC Todd Monken another weapon to work with in a more versatile offensive system.
Second Round
- QB Dante Moore, Oregon
A player who will have a lot of questions heading into the upcoming draft, Moore was likely the second overall pick in 2026 and someone GM Andrew Berry really liked if he had come out. Instead, a horrible late hit and the resulting head injury have him available in the middle of the second round, later than most expect he will fall if he’s healthy. A lot of ifs with Moore, but a swing that makes sense given how the draft fell.
Third Round
- OG Evan Tengesdahl, Cincinnati
Drafting for talent over specific need, Tengesdahl is a guard for sure, which could push Austin Barber out to tackle in the future. The value at this point in the mock draft simulation was in the middle of both lines, including a couple of defensive tackle options, but believing in Barber’s ability to move outside provided a bit more confidence in taking Tengesdahl here.
