Drew Dober returned to the win column with a comeback TKO earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 18, 2025) at UFC Vancouver LIVE on ESPN+ from inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, but it wasn’t without some controversy.
Coming into tonight’s matchup against Canada’s Kyle Prepolec, Dober was the biggest betting favorite on the entire card. After the first half of the fight he flipped to an underdog needing a finish to win. That’s because Prepolec did a ton of damage over the first 10 minutes
of action. Dober landed almost at the same clip, but Prepolec’s shots seemed to hurt more. Dober was pretty busted up and bloody.
The third round was a doozy. Prepolec looked to be on a roll again early into the frame before Dober landed an accidental low blow. It was pretty nasty. Prepolec went down immediately and took a few minutes to recover. The referee, who didn’t initially take a point, ended up taking one point from Dober. That set a fire under Dober, who gained a nice breather while Prepolec was recovering from the nut shot.
Dober went for broke and unloaded everything he had. The veteran lightweight chased down Prepolec and ended up connecting on vicious knees, elbows, and punches along the cage. Prepolec never went down, but he wasn’t able to defend himself any longer. The referee jumped in to save the Canadian fighter as Dober walked off with the comeback TKO finish.
