Undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes has gone back-and-forth on pursuing a career in politics after his in-ring career is done. The inability to pin him down on that is a sign he’s got at least one of the skill’s required to succeed in what passes for 21st century government leadership.
Rhodes’ conversation about who he considers to be the face of WWE on The Ariel Helwani Show yesterday (June 24) is another.
His first answer was:
“Whoever you deem the face of WWE is the face of WWE, and the beautiful
thing now is the candidates are more than two, maybe even more than five.”
Pushed for an actual answer, Cody remembered to sell himself:
“I’m gonna go ahead and say it on your show, as somebody who’s played darts* with you before, I am the face of WWE.”
But when not pushed, the aspiring Junior United States Senator from the great state of Georgia shows up again:
“I think you’re safe if you say Roman Reigns is. You’re safe if you say Rhea Ripley is. If you say CM Punk is, Liv Morgan, if you say those names, those seem to be safe names. WWE is in really great hands right now because the roster is so experienced and so connected with our audience.”

* The US Darts Masters are in New York this week, and British darts star Luke Littler was also on Helwani’s show Wednesday.
