In case you forgot, this is a unique week for the Dallas Cowboys. They have a “home” game in Week 3 where they will “host” the Baltimore Ravens, but these things are taking place at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
As this past weekend was unfolding and the Cowboys were playing and defeating the Washington Commanders, concerns began to grow online about the playing surface in Brazil.
ESPN’s Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley shared an update from NFL Field Director Nick Pappas on Monday and
apparently the league feels fine with the state of things.
The NFL is focused on international growth and games like this are how they go about it. It goes without saying that the easiest thing to do in this situation is to play the game at AT&T Stadium, but that runs counter to the league’s goals in this case.
Hensley added that Pappas was asked if there was any thought behind moving the game, something that fans have suggested online. He noted that it is “not a conversation.”
