The blackout is here and, judging by the fans rolling in, most everyone is into it. Most people I talked to during the week seem to think the Trojans are the superior team talent-wise, but the money spenders
aren’t so sure as they dropped the initial line from Huskers +6 1/2 to +4 1/2. Earlier today, I suggested the reason might have something to do with the Trojans lousy Midwest road record since joining their new conference.
Whatever the reasons, some window is getting broken – either USC is going put on a good show on the road or the Huskers are going to beat the Trojans for the first time in EVER (0-5-1 all time). The fans are sporting their black – can they make some nose and keep it up for four quarters ?
We shall see. Let’s start the vibes with the availability report.
- Sadly, Teddy Prochazka has suffered another ACL tear and is through for the season. Gunner Gottula is also out, so Donovan Raiola will be turning to Turner Corcoran to step up again.
- The Boneyard is in dark mode.
- And let’s all send best wishes to the Polar Bear and his fiancee:
- I’m almost afraid to show these after how things worked out in Minneapolis, but here’s the new kicks for the Blackout:
- And since of course we all love Archie, here’s our guy taking a swing at pumpkin carving – and burying it inside the 5. Well done!
- Anybody got XXXL black trash bag for Li’l Red? Cap only doesn’t cut it.
- Jeff Simms, who looks to finish the season as ASU’s starter with Sam Leavitt out, uncorks a long one today!
- Honestly, if you have the urge to be yelling, “Down in front!!” tonight, please just get down and out of the stadium. Give that ticket away.
- And of course a shout-out to the ladies. Nothing beats serving it to Wisconsin on their home court.
Ok, Huskers fans – do your part, bring the noise and let’s just bring it!
GO BIG RED!
