The Mets brought The Franchise home on this date in 1982, re-acquiring him from the Reds for pitcher Charlie Puleo, utility man Lloyd McClendon, and outfielder Jason Felice. Thirty years later, the Mets traded a Cy Young winner, sending R.A. Dickey (along with Josh Thole and Mike Nickeas) to the Blue Jays for Travis d’Arnaud and Noah Syndergaard (as well as John Buck and Wuilmer Becerra).
