CountryBox247.com, 8:00 pm ET, CountryBox: Where Music Meets Boxing. I don’t want anyone to get alarmed… But, there’s no word on who will be the musical side of this show. I can tell you that Maidel Sando makes his 5th CountryBox: Where Music Meets Boxing appearance. But, who will bring the music?? Is it even CountryBox if Music doesn’t meet Boxing?
Friday, November 7th
DAZN, 3:00 am ET, Qamil Balla vs Sergei Vorobev. An SLB Fight Night promotion from the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. Balla vs Vorobev is what DAZN is promoting
as the main. But, it’s an eight-rounder, and there’s also a 10-rounder for a regional IBF belt on the show. So, if you’re a die-hard Qamil Balla fan, be aware you may need to wake up earlier than the typical Aussie main event timeslot to see him.
ProBoxTV, 6:30 pm ET, Nicklaus Flaz vs Delante “Tiger” Johnson. From “Swan City,” a.k.a. Lakeland, Florida. Nice little main event, very nice chief support fight between Katsuma Akitsugi and Vincent Astrolabio, and also featuring Tsendbaatar Erdenebat and Dominic Valle. Good card! BLH may have live updates
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Boxing Insider. From Atlantic City, New Jersey. The main event features undefeated Justin Figueroa against 9-7 (5 KO) Jose Edgardo Perdomo. Otto Wallin and Bruce Seldon Jr appear in support.
Saturday, November 8th
TrillerTV+, 1:00 pm ET, Bragging Rights. From Belfast, Ireland. Main event is a Boxing Union of Ireland Celtic Title matchup between Lee Gormley and Teo Alin.
DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, GBM Presents: The Heist. From Hull, Yorkshire in the UK. The hook here is an eight-man super middleweight tournament, with a grand prize of £25,000 to the winner. Your contestants are: Germaine Brown, Liam O’Hare, James Osborne, Ellis Steward, Ryszard Lewicki, SA Smith, Haaris Khan, and Taz Nadeem.
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Vergil Ortiz vs Erickson Lubin. For Ortiz’s interim WBC 154 lbs. title. This one is in Fort Worth, Texas, the same location where Ortiz once knocked out Michael McKinson. If Ortiz wins, we should get him vs. Boots Ennis early next year. Lubin is a real potential stumbling block, though. His only two pro losses came in world title fights, and he’s still just 30 years old despite getting his first shot at a belt over eight years ago. Undercard features Darius Fulghum against David Stevens in a matchup of former Bek the Bully victims, plus Joshua Edwards, Eric Priest, Amari Jones, and others. Most intriguing support fight is a matchup between undefeated cruiserweights Derick Miller Jr and Robin Safar. You’re more likely to know Safar, based on his win over Sergey Kovalev on the first Usyk-Fury show. Neither has fought on a Golden Boy show before, so why are they here? It’s probably a sign we’re not going to see a Zurdo Ramirez-Jai Opetaia unification fight next. BLH will have live updates
Sunday, November 9th
DAZN, 4:00 pm ET, Misfits Boxing: Duel Series. From Nashville, Tennessee. Hey, we’ve been trying to make you guys aware of Sunday shows you can watch… You gotta take the good with the bad. Your main event here is Lil’ CraCra against Fox The G. Austin Dulay fights Jayson Velez, with Velez on a four year, 12 fight losing streak. Misfits shows in the USA are usually flat, and their show in Nashville two years ago may have been their biggest turd ever. Or, perhaps just their biggest turd so far… They’re doing some WWE-style kayfabe thing with Andrew Tate in advance of a December show in Dubai.
