Ah, Boxing Day. The day after Christmas, a wonderful time to sit down surrounded by friends and/or family to watch a whole day of Premier League football act…
[touches earpiece]
I beg your pardon, but word has just come through — because the Premier League is utterly incompetent and entered into TV contracts without understanding that Boxing Day can fall on a Friday, there will be only ONE Boxing Day match this year, and it starts at 3 pm ET / 8 pm GMT. Happy Holidays!
Anyway, feel free to use this
post to talk about Manchester United vs. Newcastle, or maybe invent a few classic Boxing Day matchups that you’d normally want to watch but can’t today, because the Premier League doesn’t know how calendars work. Don’t fret, there are seven matches on tomorrow, most of them at the blacked-out 10a/3p slot.
