The Cleveland Browns and their fans are not looking past their Week 8 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the team’s front office has to have one eye, or both, on the upcoming NFL trade deadline. With a few trades already made, Browns GM Andrew Berry should proceed with cautious haste to make sure he can get the kind of deals he wants.
Whether Berry goes big game hunting or not, Cleveland has already been connected to a number of interesting trade targets who have been rumored to be available.
Berry also, reportedly, is holding a pretty high price tag on WR Jerry Jeudy, if he’d trade him at all.
ESPN’s latest NFL trade deadline piece has the Browns listed as a potential landing spot for a couple of big targets, as well as placing Jeudy as the fifth-best player possibly traded this year. Listed with their ESPN ranking, the following were connected as trade targets:
- #4 – DE YaYa Diaby – Cleveland is listed as the first team to fit for him. 35% chance he is traded
- #7 – DE Khalil Mack – Browns are listed as the second team as a fit to trade for him. Also a 35% chance he gets dealt
- #11 – DE Jermaine Johnson II – After facing Johnson and the Tennessee Titans last week, Berry is well aware of what Johnson can do, and Cleveland is listed as the first team fitting for him, with a 30% chance he is traded
Of the three, which do you want the Browns to try to acquire?
