We’ve at last arrived at the end, eight months of prelude leading up to the climactic World Series that begins tonight. The Yankees won’t be there, but you already knew that, as the Rays and Brewers will clash in a matchup that ensures that one franchise will win its first ever championship. Game 1 should be a cracker, with Milwaukee sending ace Jacob Misiorowski to the mound, though it’s actually unclear who the Rays will counter with. Drew Rasmussen would be the obvious choice, but Tampa Bay hasn’t
finalized a starter, and there are rumors they will go with Nick Martinez to give Rasmussen extra rest.
On the site today, you can get fully prepped for the World Series with Peter’s pitching-centric preview, to pair with his hitting preview from yesterday. Also, I’ll continue our Report Card series by reviewing Trent Grisham’s disappointing campaign, while Jonathan will write up Birdie Cree a diminutive figure from early-Yankees history, and Madison will deliver the answers to this week’s mailbag.
