The Tennessee Titans are off this week. That means the only thing we need to watch around the league is the teams that are near the top of the 2027 NFL Draft order. The Titans currently hold the 2nd pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, according to Tankathon. The 0-7 Los Angeles Chargers currently hold the first pick. The Chargers play the Houston Texans this week. If the Chargers win that game, the Titans will hold the first pick.
The only other one-win team is the Miami Dolphins. They play the Detroit Lions
today. It would be great to see the Dolphins pull off the upset, but it’s hard to see that happening. We need our old friend, Malik Willis, to pull off some magic in Miami.
There are a host of two-win teams in the league, including the Indianapolis Colts, the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Jets, the Texans, the New Orleans Saints, and the Washington Commanders. We need all of those teams to win, with the exception of the Texans. We can root for them next week.
One note on the Commanders: they have a tie, which would put them behind the Titans in the draft if both finish with the same number of wins.
We should also be rooting for the Chicago Bears to lose each week, because the Titans have their first round pick via the Jeffery Simmons trade. They currently hold the 28th pick.
