According to a report from Sport Bild’s Torsten Rumpf (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich could be taking a close look at Hamburger SV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes:
Bayern have discussed HSV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes (33) as a potential new experienced #2 behind Jonas Urbig next season should Manuel Neuer decide to retire. Heuer Fernandes’ contract expires this summer, but will automatically extend by one year if HSV avoid relegation. The club would like to keep the goalkeeper,
but would not stand in his way if he seeks a new challenge.
Neuer’s future is still up in the air, but the veteran is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks on what he will do. Sven Ulreich could also still be in the mix and Alexander Nübel could also be back with the club when his loan at VfB Stuttgart ends.
Neuer’s decision, however, will effect the fate of every other goalkeeper mentioned above. They do not call him the G.O.A.T. for nothing.
