Greetings, BBN! What a time it is to be a UK fan.
Kentucky Football has been one of the biggest surprises of the season thus far and is currently ranked in both the AP (No. 15) and Coaches Polls (No. 17). The Wildcats are also 3-1 in SEC play, which has them just one game behind first place.
And this week, Kentucky Basketball makes its exhibition season debut vs. Little Rock and will almost certainly be ranked in the major polls when the regular season tips off. It’s rare to have both football and men’s
basketball ranked together, so this has certainly been a fun time to be a Wildcats fan.
With both teams in the national spotlight, we want to see who you think will finish higher in the SEC standings once regular-season play ends.
The football team was picked to finish near the bottom of the preseason rankings, but they have a real chance to finish near the top and possibly even earn a spot in the SEC Championship. However, Kentucky has one of the hardest remaining strengths of schedules in the spot, highlighted by road trips at Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Missouri, all of whom could finish the regular season in the top 25.
Meanwhile, the basketball team was just picked by league media to finish seventh in the final standings. It certainly feels like this team is being slept on a bit heading into the next season, but with the league being so deep, the Cats will have their work cut out for them to finish toward the top and earn a double-bye in the SEC Tournament.
So, who do you think will finish higher? Let us know in the poll below and down in the comments section!
