Thursday was an interesting one surrounding the Kentucky Wildcats football program, as we all learned that quarterback Zach Calzada thought Garrett should be getting his money right.
If you haven’t seen
it yet, the Incarnate Word transfer QB had a video go viral of him flaunting his money and taunting a guy named Garrett. After gaining traction from the BBN and the college football media world overall, the Cats QB has issued an apology.
“I take full responsibility for the video I sent to someone on social media,” Calzada wrote.
Along with the video came the question: How much was really in the video?
That we will not get a solid answer too (unless you are great at counting those bills), but according to Chris Hummer of CBS, we now know the total UK football paid him to play in Lexington.
How much was it? $1.25 million.
What a wild story that completely encapsulates the issues that have plagued UK football over the last few seasons.
