CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Illini have officially landed transfer quarterback Katin Houser, who announced his commitment on Sunday night, according to ESPN.
Houser spent the last two seasons with East Carolina University, competing in the American Athletic Conference, and will be using his last year of eligibility at Illinois.
During this past season, he threw for 3,300 yards and 19 touchdowns, while also adding 193 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
In his two years quarterbacking for the Pirates, he led them to back-to-back eight-win seasons.
The former four-star recruit is no stranger to Big Ten football, as he started his career in East Lansing, spending two years with Michigan State.
In 2026, the Illini will hit the road to take on the Spartans, so a reunion might just be in store for Houser.
