The Golden State Warriors predictably lost a game on Monday night to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Playing without Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler III, Jonathan Kuminga, De’Anthony Melton, Al Horford, and Seth Curry, the Dubs were decimated by the Wolves, losing 108-83.
Here’s a look at how Dub Nation viewed the contest in real time, as seen through the comment section in the Golden State of Mind
game thread.First quarter: ‘Nice run fellas’
The Warriors surprisingly held their own in the first quarter. They brought tons of
fight and effort, and only trailed 21-20 after the opening frame.
Second quarter: ‘No quit in this team’
That fight continued into the second quarter, until late, when the Wolves put forth a massive run and turned the game around. It was a 53-38 deficit at halftime.
Third quarter: ‘Our guys are not big enough’
There was no comeback in the second half. Minnesota had knocked out the Warriors late in the second quarter, and it continued into the third. It was a 75-57 game heading into the fourth.
Fourth quarter: ‘Always look on the bright side of life’
There was nothing to see in the fourth quarter. Props to everyone who hung around and watched.
