Maurice Krattenmacher is quickly developing a reputation as the Bundesliga’s ultimate super-sub. After scoring three goals in the opening three league matches for SV 07 Elversberg, all three have come after entering the game from the bench. That makes him the most productive substitute scorer across Europe’s top five leagues so far in the 2026/27 season.
His latest impact came against his former club, Bayern Munich, when Krattenmacher entered the scoresheet in spectacular fashion to bring Elversberg
level. The 21-year-old’s ability to change games after coming on has become a defining part of Elversberg’s impressive start to life in the Bundesliga.
3 – Maurice Krattenmacher scored all three of his Bundesliga goals as a substitute. He is the most successful joker in the top 5 leagues 2026/27.
Dream goal
There is something particularly impressive about the timing of his contributions. Krattenmacher scored twice off the bench in Elversberg’s dramatic comeback against Borussia Mönchengladbach last weekend, including the stoppage-time winner.
Now he has added Bayern Munich to that list.
Krattenmacher ultimately could not prevent Bayern Munich from winning 2-1, but his impact remains remarkable. For a young player establishing himself at a newly promoted club, becoming the league’s most dangerous substitute is quite a statement. His performances are making it increasingly difficult for Elversberg to leave him out of their plans for very long.
