In a new interview with Complex Graps The Podcast, WWE star GUNTHER was asked which wrestler’s career is next on his kill list, after he sent legends Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles into retirement over the last year.
The Ring General said he doesn’t have a list, he’s just very good at observing the landscape and taking advantage of opportunities. That’s when Brock Lesnar’s name was brought up to him as a potential candidate. GUNTHER didn’t hesitate to say he knows he can end Brock’s WWE career.
Complex: “They’re saying Brock is close to the end.”
GUNTHER: “To be honest, let’s see. I think he’s got his hands full right now.”
Complex: “You think you can do it?”
GUNTHER: “Yeah, I can do it.”
Complex: “I don’t think there’s a doubt in this man’s mind.”
GUNTHER: “No, I can do it. But first thing’s first. Let’s see. I don’t know where Brock is…he’s [not] around that much. And you don’t really hear or see much, so, I got to do my intel. But maybe a guy owes me that knows what his plans are. I’m just saying maybe…I don’t know.”
Brock Lesnar’s long-time advocate, Paul Heyman, happens to owe GUNTHER a favor for solving his Seth Rollins problem this weekend at WrestleMania 42. It seems to me that the Ring General is once again observing the landscape and sees an opportunity to kill Lesnar’s career, now that Paul owes him.
Does GUNTHER’s answer make you think he will end Brock Lesnar’s WWE career next, perhaps as soon as later this year in The Beast’s backyard at SummerSlam Minnesota? Will this career killer angle all be worth if it leads to no more Polish Joe in WWE?
Let me know how badly you want to see this happen (or not) in the comments below, Cagesiders.
