Indiana women’s basketball (17-13, 6-12 Big Ten) is set to take on Nebraska (18-11, 17-11 Big Ten) on Wednesday to open up the Big Ten Tournament.
The Hoosiers are coming off of three consecutive wins that locked up their spot in the conference tournament. Unlike the men’s tournament (hm), the women’s tournament still has a cutoff. Indiana’s late season wins let it play itself back into NCAA Tournament contention, however unlikely, with a run.
The Cornhuskers are coming off of two wins, beating Washington
on the road and Rutgers at home with the latter coming in a 93-52 blowout. They’re led by star sophomore guard Britt Prince, who averages 17.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
The two teams have met just once this season, a 78-73 win for Nebraska at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
