Jeremy Stephens has no regrets.
This past Saturday, Stephens took on Mike Perry in the main event of BKFC 82, fighting for Perry’s ceremonial “King of Violence” title. And while Stephens started strong, Perry was ultimately able to take over the fight, battering “Lil’ Heathen” to a fifth-round stoppage. But though he lost, Stephens is in good spirits about what transpired on Saturday.
“Went up against the odds once again and went to war with one of the toughest
in the BKFC game. We had our differences and we settled it like real dogs… no gloves, no excuses, just heart. That’s what this sport’s about.
“Shoutout to David Feldman . Respect to Perry. Thank you Newark, NJ Prudential Center.
“This one wasn’t about records, it was about legacy and testing myself against the best. We did that.
“Grateful for my family, my team, my fans, my sponsors and most of all, God for the strength to rise every time I fall. We ain’t done … back to our weight, back to business.”
The loss is Stephen’s first in bare-knuckle, who was 3-0 in the promotion coming into the fight, with wins over Eddie Alvarez and Jimmie Rivera.
