Last week I did a video breaking down what I thought about rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik’s play in the Jets’ preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The feedback was good so I decided to do a sequel. Below is a video breaking down Cade Klubnik in preseason game number two against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In this one I don’t cover every single Klubnik passing attempt as I did in the Bucs video. The Steelers game featured a handful of screen and simple reads that don’t give us much insight
into where Klubnik is as he tries to develop as an NFL quarterback. Every play I thought was relevant, though, is included.
As I say at the outset, I hope this video is constructive. Anything I say about a play Klubnik could have executed better should not be viewed as a scathing criticism. For a rookie, a big part of the process is learning and improving.
I’ll add an additional disclaimer that I do not know the plays called or how Klubnik was coached to execute them. I did my best to reverse engineer what happened so this is merely my best interpretation.
