The Miami Dolphins dropped their fourth-straight game to start the 2026 season, moving to 0-4 after a 15-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The good news – at least for some – was Miami covered the 9.5-point spread for the game, staying close to the Vikings throughout the game. One fewer penalty, one corrected mistake, or one toe staying in bounds could have allowed Miami to pull off the straight-up upset over Minnesota, who improved to 4-0 on the year.
The Dolphins return to Hard Rock Stadium this
weekend to host the Cincinnati Bengals, a team that fired out of the gates to a 2-0 start, but have loss their last two games to fall to 2-2. The Bengals are banged up, especially at wide receiver where both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins could not finish their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The availability for either is unclear, with Chase working through the concussion protocol and Higgins is dealing with a groin injury.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, even with the injury questions, the Bengals are opening as more than a touchdown favorite. The line opened on Sunday night with Cincinnati listed as 7.5-point favorites. That line has held steady as of Monday afternoon. The point total for the game is 42.5.
Can the Dolphins, who have looked incrementally better each week of the season, pull off an upset at home before heading into their bye week? Will the line move once more clarity on the availability of Chase and Higgins is provided? What do you think of the line?
