The Las Vegas Raiders will try to bounce back from two straight losses as they host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Kickoff is at 1:25 p.m. PT. Here are five keys to victory for the Raiders:
Play better defense:
The Raiders defense has been in the dumps after a strong start to the season. They have allowed 102 points in the past three games. New England has 536 yards of offense in Week 5 and they had 387 yards on explosive plays through three quarters. That can’t happen against this offense.
Turnovers:
The Raiders had nine takeaways in their three wins to start the season. They had one in the past two games both losses. If you’re going to beat this offense, creating turnovers is a great way to do it. The Raiders need to revert to their early-season takeaway magic.
Cut down penalties:
The Raiders’ had just 120 penalty yards un the first four games. They had 101 in Week 5. They need to clean that act up quickly.
Better offensive line play:
The Raiders’ offensive line has stalled in recent weeks. Kirk Cousins has been getting pressured often and the run game has been lacking badly. This unit needs to pick it up.
Start fast:
There will probably be a lot of blue in the Allegiant Stadium stands. This will be the Bills’ first game in Las Vegas with fans in the stands. Bills Mafia travels well. This could be another fan takeover. So, the Raiders need to start fast and get their fans in it ASAP.
