After collapsing while watching the Bayern Munich youth team in action during training, Vincent Kompany is taking his time recovering from his hospitalization. Assistant coach Aaron Danks has taken charge in the Belgian’s absence. Nevertheless, Aleksandar Pavlović is one of many players hoping to see the boss back in the dugout soon.
“We’re very hopeful. We’d all be delighted if he could return as soon as possible. But that’s for the coach to decide,” Pavlović said after a 2-1 win over Mainz (via

When asked whether he had seen the coach during his recovery, the 22-year-old midfielder said he “saw him briefly once. That was about it.” Kompany was last seen in the dugout against Arsenal on October 16. In the meantime, Danks has done a solid job deputizing for Kompany by maintaining the team’s unbeaten run.
