It continues to be an offseason full of roster turnover for the Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team, who appear to be losing another two players from its 2025-26 squad to the portal.
Forwards Jasmyn Cooper and Aurora Almón are both entering the transfer portal. On3 was the first to report on Monday.
They are the sixth and seventh players for the Orange doing so, joining Shy Hawkins, Camdyn Nelson, Justus Fitzgerald, Sophie Burrows, and Maddie Potts.
Cooper played 24 games (three as a starter) in
her lone season with the program. The former four-star wing averaged 3.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 10.8 minutes per game.
Almón is also departing via the portal after just one year with the Orange. She initially transferred to Syracuse after suiting up for a season with Miami (FL).
In 29 games (four starts), Almón finished the 2025-26 season with 1.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game.
To recap, Syracuse is now down to four players from its NCAA Tournament squad. The current squad includes center Uche Izoje, guards Angelica Velez and Olivia Schmitt, forward Keira Scott, and incoming freshman guard Madison Howard.
That leaves plenty of roster spots to fill out through the portal, which officially opens up today.
