Ødegaard thinking about Bayern move? (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg and Luca Sixtus)
According to this report, Arsenal star Martin Ødegaard could imagine starting in a lineup with Harry Kane at Bayern Munich:
The name Ødegaard is causing a stir at FC Bayern Munich. According to Sky Sport, the Arsenal captain could , in principle, imagine playing for the German record champions in the future.
There has been ongoing contact between Ødegaard and Bayern Munich over the past few years. However, a transfer never materialized. Now, the situation has taken a new turn. Arsenal are working on an early
contract extension for their playmaker.
The Norwegian’s contract currently runs until 2028. Arsenal have already held initial informal talks about extending his contract. Arsenal are keen to avoid Ødegaard entering the final year of his contract and potentially leaving on a free transfer in 2028.
However, just because Ødegaard is interested in Bayern Munich, does not mean the Bavarians are going to make a move:
From FC Bayern’s perspective, there is currently no concrete need for action. Despite the player’s general interest, Ødegaard is not currently on the Munich club’s list of priority transfer targets.
This is an interesting rumor, but like any news regarding an attacking midfielder, you just have to take it with a grain of salt. Bayern Munich, of course, is well-stocked with players who can featured at the No. 10 position.
LFC trying to run it back with Alexander-Arnold? (ESPN)
Is Liverpool looking to bring back Trent Alexander-Arnold? Maybe:
Liverpool have reached out to the representatives of Real Madrid right back Trent Alexander-Arnold, ahead of a potential move in January, Cadena Ser reports. The Reds are weighing up an initial loan approach for the 28-year-old, as manager Andoni Iraola looks to add fullback depth, while Los Blancos could look to Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro as a potential replacement. Alexander-Arnold has struggled to earn regular minutes at the Bernabéu this season, with midfielder Federico Valverde starting in his position in Sunday’s 2-1 win at Barcelona.
Bayern was ready to buck up for LFC attacker before Saibari signing (BuLiNews.com)
Before Bayern Munich settled in on signing Ismael Saibari, the club was toying with a more expensive pursuit of Rio Ngumoha:
According to a report from England, Bayern Munich were prepared to spend just over €70 million to sign Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha last summer. However, after the Reds made it clear that the teenager wasn’t for sale, the Bavarians turned their attention elsewhere and eventually signed Ismael Saibari instead.
Maybe Bayern Munich really was a little more serious about Ngumoha than many initially thought.
Gunners, Chelsea looking at Brunner? (ESPN)
Arsenal and Chelsea are both reportedly keeping an eye on Germany U-21 striker Paris Brunner:
Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring Monaco striker Paris Brunner ahead of a January move, TEAMtalk reports. Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also following the 20-year-old Germany U21 international, with Monaco’s need to raise funds potentially opening the door for an early January move with a loan-back arrangement.
Werder Bremen wants to keep Füllkrug (Fußball News journalist Ekrem Konur)
As expected, Werder Bremen would like to hang on to Niclas Füllkrug (who wouldn’t at this point?):
🚨 #WestHam Werder Bremen are preparing to open talks with West Ham United over a potential return for Niclas Füllkrug.
💰 West Ham are not believed to be willing to let the experienced striker leave for a low fee following his strong performances.
⏳ As a result, negotiations could become complicated and may drag on until the latter stages of the summer transfer window.
📋 Any deal could also require Füllkrug to accept a significant reduction in his current salary.
No release clause in new Kane deal (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Whenever Harry Kane signs his new deal at Bayern Munich, there will not be a release clause included within it per this report:
❌It is NOT TRUE: Harry Kane will get a release clause in his new contract that can be activated by specific clubs. There are final details to clear – that’s what we’ve been hearing from Bayern Munich. But the two parties are in total agreement otherwise; Kane will sign a new contract until 2029. There are small details and clauses to be cleared but things are accelerating now. Before the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London, Bayern were always asking, ‘Could we talk about the contract?’ And the answer was always that Kane was focusing on the ceremony. I’m now hearing that there could be talks next week, and from there we could hear about a new contract being signed very soon.
It seems like this deal will get done shortly. It would be hard to imagine that the contract would not contain some sort of “out” for Kane, but the guys does seem to love living in Bavaria.
