A mystery has been running rampant in AAA. For months, there were sneak attacks on the clowns of Psycho Circus that sent them to the hospital. The carnage even caused a rift between tag team champions Psycho Clown and Pagano. Psycho jumped the gun to blame Pagano, and he denied any knowledge of the incidents. Fast forward to week three of Verano de Escandalo (Aug. 8, 2026), and a mystery man assaulted Psycho in front of the world to see.
Before we get to the events from Saturday night, let’s take
a step back to laugh at the telenovela in AAA. In June, Psycho tried to confirm from Psycho Circus that Pagano was the perpetrator. However, they never actually saw who attacked them. Psycho was heated with emotion. When Pagano didn’t come to face the music, Psycho Circus marched to find him. What they found was Pagano the victim of a sneak attack. Psycho hilariously flip-flopped on a dime to ask for forgiveness from Pagano. A message written on the mirror stated that Psycho is next.
That brings us to Verano de Escandalo. Psycho competed in a triple-threat qualifier for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship. That’s when the mystery man made his move. He looked like a character out of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The mystery man pummeled Psycho Clown, ripped the face off Psycho’s mask, and chokeslammed him onto chairs. That was a heck of way to make an impression.
Commentary was stumped at the identity of this man. I think one hint was Corey Graves saying out of the Bayou. Fans on social media mentioned the name Drake Morreaux, who is dating Roxanne Perez. The tattoos seem to match, and he goes by the nickname Bayou Boy. Morreaux has been seen on WWE’s LFG (Legends & Future Greats) television program, and he has wrestling experience in Evolve and the NXT house show circuit.
That’s not to say with 100% certainty that this masked monster is the mystery attacker of Psycho Circus, as mentioned in the question above from WWE.
The match that was interrupted was important in its own right. Fiscal pinned Cruz Del Toro via frog splash. Fiscal advances to Triplemania to compete in the AAA Latin American Championship four-way for the vacant title. La Parka and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. already punched their ticket. One more qualifier remains.
