Some believe the Arizona Cardinals’ helmet is one of the cleanest-looking in the league. Others have stated that it is boring and mundane.
Does it mean their helmets have to remain this way?
RELATED: A BRIDE’S STORY: BIDWILL TO THE RESCUE
It’s a Cardinal bird head on a solid white helmet. No striping, no graphics, no checkered pattern as a backdrop or portions of the Arizona state flag.
Here at Revenge of the Birds, we wanted to see what was new out there. Concept helmets. Done by folks who love graphics
and computer programs, but aren’t interested in taking on a 245-pound linebacker.
NFL teams must keep their primary uniforms for five years, and then can make changes upon league approval. Both of the primary uniforms in the Cardinals’ wardrobe will stay the same from 2025-2027, as they’re not eligible for a uniform redesign until 2028. However, it’s still possible for the Cardinals to unveil new alternate/throwback uniforms in 2026 or 2027, if they choose to do so.
Each NFL club may have three helmet designs they can use in any combination. Plus, they can have one retro uniform/helmet. Currently, the Cardinals have a white helmet with cardinal bird logo on both sides with gray facemask, a sand-colored helmet with red facemask, part of the rivalries uniforms, and a solid black helmet with black facemask.
All three helmets feature a right and left facing cardinal bird head. This is so the face of the bird will always be facing forward towards their opponent.
We dug, and then dug some more, drank some beer, played the latest Call of Duty, and came up with a few more concept helmets. Let us know which are your favs.

Blackout by Empire Graphics
The gloss black is awesome by its self, but the Cardinal head is actually dark gray with a complete red outline. The eye has gone from white to red as well. At first the gray facemask was questioned why it wasn’t black or red, but it does tie in with the gray bird. Bottom back neck pad has imprinted “Cardinals” in red.

The Sheen of the Red by fity.club
A lot of new car manufacturers offer a bright red with a lofty sheen. This is that. Same side panel cardinal head logo with a thin white outline, which it needs. Using the yellow facemask is genius with this look.

Bird Eye View by Ultimate Effects
This is actually a solid black helmet, but the cardinal head has been supersized. Have seen a similar one with a white facemask, but the red one shown here doesn’t distract the eye away from the side panels.

Aztecs R Us by Judge Fredd
Matte red helmet with various Aztec designs and graphics that encompass the entire dome.

Commando by The Helmet Company
Matte red helmet with an outline of the cardinal logo in black only. Everything to do with the facemask is in black. Has an industrial/military look.

Chrome Dome by seekpng.com
If the Oregon Ducks college football team can pull this off, so can the Arizona Cardinals.

Tribal Cardinals by Juergen Schlitzkus
A lot to digest there. If you have seen the Maryland Terrapins helmets, think this one. An actual American Indian chief headdress behind the bird head, which is also decked out in tribal vibes.

American Indian Striping by Ted Hyman Images
The Cardinals already have a black helmet approved by the league. This adds a tribal addition.

Broad Red by Luis Almeida
Basic Cardinals helmet, but using a red facemask and a larger than normal center stripe. Jersey numbers fit nicely in the center of the stripe on the helmet backside.

Salute to Service by Just Sports
The only color other than white is the cardinal logo is outlined in black with black features inside the head. She’s a cracker!

Bird’s Eye View by Ultimate Effects
If you have ever seen a home game at Tiger Stadium for the LSU football team, that single tiger eye at midfield has been re-invented in the desert. The white facemask is still a maybe instead of another color that detracts from the white eye socket.

The Reducation by Pro Sports Edits
Solid red helmet, red cardinal logo with white outline, and interior features. Why not go all out on a red facemask?

Fly, Cardinals, Fly by Ted Hyman Images
Stunning graphics and a great look. The red facemask ties it all together because it becomes an extension of the wing logo.

Flag Boulevard by Luis Almeida
Solid black helmet with black facemask, but incorporates every color in the Cardinals’ palette. State flag sunrise on the entire helmet dome. Striking. Mysterious.

Flight Feathers by Custom Designs
This features a black helmet with a black facemask, with the standard cardinal logo on each side. Feather graphics on the remainder portion of the helmet is pretty cool.

Head Wings by behance.net
Taking a page from the Philadelphia Eagles playbook, the two front panels feature bird wings, but the red goes down the center with a red facemask on a solid white helmet.

Dream Weaver by fity.club
The entire helmet dome looks like it was made of the same weave they make wicker baskets with. Standard cardinal logo with a black outline that should be a bit wider. Or instead, a thin white outline and then another thin black outline. Right now, the bird logo is a bit dark. Red facemask ties it all together.

Nothing but trouble happens after 11 pm, but this one goes to 12.

City View by Ultimate Effects
Unusual concept lid as if the entire helmet is a sunset photograph with the desert as the backdrop. The Cardinal logo is standard, except for a decent yellow outline that encompasses the head. Red facemask makes the recipe right.
