Eric Garcia has been full of praise for new Barcelona signing Anthony Gordon and says the England international “never stops pressing.”
Barcelona came up against Gordon in the Champions League last season and then decided to splash out on the winger before the start of World Cup 2026.
Garcia has now given his verdict on Gordon and says he will offer Barcelona something different from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
“He’s a very fast player who never stops pressing. I think he’s something different from what
we have, perhaps because we have wingers who are great in one-on-one situations, like Lamine or Rapha,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“But he’s a winger who makes a lot of runs into space. I think that can help us a lot too. And obviously, then, when it comes to pressing. We saw that when we played against him this year as well.”
Gordon will meet up with his new team-mates at Barcelona after featuring for England at World Cup 2026.
