After the Pittsburgh Steelers signed former Denver Broncos wide receiver Joaquin Davis last week, Denver has now signed a former Steelers pass-catcher.
The Broncos are signing wide receiver Hakeem Butler, per Mike Garafolo. Butler was the UFL Offensive Player of the Year this past spring, hauling in 29 passes for a league-leading 641 yards.
The Iowa State product signed with the Steelers back in May, 2023 after a tryout in rookie minicamp, but didn’t make the 53-man roster. He last appeared on a NFL
roster in August, 2024 while spending the preseason with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Butler was a fourth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2019, but never appeared in a game with Arizona. In totality, he has appeared in two regular season games, which came back in 2020 with the Philadelphia Eagles.
