The Indianapolis Colts are at home to take on the Tennessee Titans for week 6 of the 2026 season, kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Last week we saw the Colts march into Pittsburgh and helped Aaron Rodgers turn back the clock, made sure he looked much younger than his 42 years would suggest. The game wasn’t close. At no point did it feel like the Colts could control much of anything. This Colts defense is amongst the worst of the last decade and there is very little hope they’ll be able to do much of anything to improve
it, markedly, this season. It’s bad.
Offensively, Daniel Jones didn’t turn the ball over. That’s good. But it’s only noteworthy because he turned the ball over seven (7) times in the teams first four games. Improvement it always a good thing but in this case the bar was pretty low.

Despite the collective pessimism surrounding this team, the Colts are a better team than the Titans (another very low bar). They should absolutely win this game. If by some chance we see Indy lose today, in my opinion, it seals the fate of everyone in the Colts front office. I’m less sold on the coaching staff being let go, for a multitude of reasons, but anything is possible. As things currently stand, to save their jobs, the Colts might have to win out and go on a playoff run, anyway. And no one can envision anything like that happening at this point.
Today I expect the Titans offense to put up points but I expect the Indy offense to look better than they have, maybe better than at any point this season. Titans head coach Robert Saleh talked at length during a press conference this week about the complexity of his defensive system and how difficult it is, how long it takes players to fully understand and the benefits he expects to see once everyone is up to speed. He acknowledged they were still working through things and it’s pretty obvious that defense isn’t up to speed yet.
Hopefully we can see the Colts offense move the ball on the ground. So far Indy hasn’t had any answers for the stacked boxes Jonathan Taylor has faced. Tight end Tyler Warren hurt his groin on Friday and is questionable to play today, which is very concerning. Hopefully Josh Downs is feeling good because this offense is going to need him.
Prediction:
Titans: 24
Colts: 30
As always, go Colts.
