It’s Labor Day, so I’ll keep this short.
The most we can ask from Guardians games at this point in a lost season is that the team learns something. So, here are some things I hope were learned today:
-Kwan’s wrist is finally feeling better
-Kyle Manzardo does NOT have 45-grade power.
-George Valera can take a walk
-This team does not have the depth to win many games against good teams if José Ramírez is struggling. Jose, I know you’ll snap out of it soon. Just stop chasing and let the game come to you,
champ.
-Rocchio for SS 2026
-Messick saw a good team make adjustments on him. Now time to see how he adjusts back. I believe in him.
-Sabrowski and Junis were not gonna be perfect through the end of the season. Still appreciate both of their work in the second half of 2025
Here’s to George Valera getting his first hit when he pinch-hits in the 9th inning tomorrow (I assume he will not start vs. Garrett Crochet).
