Each practice day this season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report ahead of the next game. In Week 8, the Chiefs play the Denver Broncos on “Sunday Night Football.”
Here is the Chiefs’ first official injury report of the week, courtesy of the team’s official website:
Chiefs
- Wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) was a limited participant in practice, taking the field for the first time since tweaking his hamstring in Week 4.
- Right tackle Jaylon Moore (concussion) was a full participant in practice after missing Week 7 in concussion protocol.
- Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (NIR/personal/knee) did not participate in practice. The personal tag may have contributed to why he didn’t travel with the team to Seattle on Saturday and instead met them there separately.
- Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (knee) iwas a limited participant in practice after being designated to return from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Wednesday. He was placed on the list before training camp began after tearing his ACL last season. He has a 21-day practice window before the Chiefs must sign him to the active 53-man roster.
The following players were full participants in practice on Wednesday:
- Left tackle Kahlil Benson (ankle)
- Linebacker Nick Bolton (neck)
- Center Creed Humphrey (toe)
- Tight end Travis Kelce (ankle)
- Linebacker Drue Tranquill (elbow)
- Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee)
Broncos
We will bring you Denver’s official injury report when it becomes
available.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported an update on injuries to Broncos’ defensive backs Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga on Wednesday morning.
Denver defensive backs Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga, both nursing ankle injuries, have a chance to return. Hufanga is projected to be out two to three weeks, and this is the third week of that timeline. Surtain enters Week 4 of his rehab, which could be the ideal time to return. After all, it’s Kansas City week. Their returns would be timely.
