Atletico Madrid are said to be furious with the current Julian Alvarez situation and will refuse to sell the Argentina international to Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer.
Alvarez has said he wants a transfer from Atletico following weeks of speculation that Barcelona want to sign him this summer in a big-money deal.
An update from Cope now claims that Atletico “currently has no intention of selling the player” to either Barca or Real Madrid.
The report adds that Atleti are “adamant” he won’t go to
Madrid and remain furious with Barca. The club have already vowed to file a complaint to FIFA about Barca, and the word is that the only way he could sign for either club is if his 500 million euro release clause is paid.
Yet Cope also feel it’s unlikely Alvarez will play for Atletico again, leaving the club with a problem. Arsenal and PSG are also believed to be interested, but Alvarez wants to stay in Spain and his dream is Barca.
What happens next, culers?
